Newport Beach, California (July 16, 2021) – At least one person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Newport Beach Thursday morning.

The crash involving a Volkswagen Jetta, a black SUV, and a silver Hyundai took place in the morning hours at Bristol and Birch streets in Orange County.

One of the vehicles reportedly drove through a traffic light prior to the collision.

Due to the impact, the silver Hyundai deployed all its airbags after crashing into a wall.

Newport Beach 3-Vehicle Accident

At least one unidentified person sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

Officials requested tow trucks to remove the wrecked vehicles away from the scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
