1 Person Killed in Newbury Park Crash on West Potrero Road near White Stallion Road
Newbury Park, California (April 5, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon traffic accident that killed one person in Newbury Park.
The deadly single-vehicle accident occurred at about 4:20 p.m., on April 4, on West Potrero Road near White Stallion Road.
According to the officials, a vehicle crashed into a guardrail on the roadway for undetermined reasons.
Following the collision, the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Crews from Caltrans were requested to handle guardrail damage and a Southern California Edison power pole that had been hit.

Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A dog at the scene was alive, reports indicated, with county animal control personnel being notified. A second dog was uninjured.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
