Naked Man Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 280 in San Jose
Man In His 40s Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 280 near McLaughlin Avenue

San Jose, California (March 28, 2019) – A naked man was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.
The fatal accident, which was reported to the CHP officers at around 8:38 a.m., happened on Interstate 280, just north of McLaughlin Avenue.
According to the CHP, the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, was reportedly running across the southbound lanes of Interstate 280 when he ran into the path of a box truck and was hit by the vehicle.
The CHP said the man was spotted on the right shoulder and ran toward the center median when the accident occurred.

As a result of the crash, the box truck then swerved into an adjacent lane and slammed into two other vehicles.
The man, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
As of 10:30 a.m. the three left lanes were blocked as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
