Murrieta, CA: Fatal Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash at Clinton Keith and California Oaks Roads
1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Murrieta Crash at Clinton Keith Road and California Oaks Road

Murrieta, California (April 26, 2021) – A fiery multi-vehicle collision has claimed the life of one person Sunday afternoon at an intersection in Murrieta and left another seriously injured, police said.
The deadly crash happened at around 3:17 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the intersection of Clinton Keith Road and California Oaks Road.
According to the police, a Toyota minivan was traveling westbound on Clinton Keith Road when it attempted to make a left turn onto California Oaks Road and was struck by a Nissan coupe that was traveling eastbound on Clinton Keith.
The Nissan then crashed into a signal pole at the southeast corner of the intersection.
Two other vehicles were struck by debris from the crash and splashed with spilled gasoline. As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles caught fire which was extinguished by firefighters.
Police said the driver and passenger of the Nissan were ejected from the vehicle during the collision.
The passenger, only identified as a female victim, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The male driver was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. His current condition remained unknown.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
