Jonathan Garcia-Bogarin Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on W Camino Cielo in Santa Barbara
Jonathan Garcia-Bogarin ID’d as Driver Killed in Santa Barbara Car Crash on West Camino Cielo near Highway 154

Santa Barbara, California (April 26, 2021) – The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau has identified the driver who was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Santa Barbara as Jonathan Garcia-Bogarin, 23, of Goleta.
The deadly accident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. Sunday, April 25, in the 7000 block of West Camino Cielo, approximately eight miles west of Highway 154 and four miles west of the Winchester Canyon Gun Club.
According to the authorities, Garcia-Bogarin was driving off-road near West Camino Cielo when, for unknown reasons, his 2021 Jeep Gladiator rolled over and came to rest on its side.
As the Jeep was overturning, Garcia-Bogarin was partially ejected and was pinned by the vehicle. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle, the authorities said.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated Garcia-Bogarin from the wreckage. Sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A GoFundMe account has been created to help cover funeral expenses for Garcia-Bogarin.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
