Driver Severely Injured in Mountain Gate Crash on 5 Freeway
Mountain Gate, California (September 21, 2019) – A driver severely hurt after a traffic collision Monday afternoon in the area of Mountain Gate, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The deadly crash was reported a while before 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, on Interstate 5 Freeway.
As per the dispatch, an ambulance was rear-ended by a vehicle on southbound Interstate 5 Freeway. The vehicle then hit two other cars.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The driver of the vehicle that struck the ambulance suffered severe injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities suspect alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
