Mountain Center, CA: Fatal Multi-Motorcycle Collision on Highway 74
Motorcyclist Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Mountain Center Crash on Highway 74 near Highway 243
Mountain Center, California (August 9, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed and two other people were seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident in Mountain Center, according to California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the fatal multi-motorcycle accident happened at around 12:45 p.m. on Highway 74, just west of Highway 243.
The crash involved at least three motorcycles. There were no specific details about what led up to the collision.

One of the motorcycle riders died in the crash. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Two other people sustained major injuries in the crash. Their current condition was not immediately provided.
All lanes of the highway were shut down due to the crash.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
