Mount Shasta, California (June 10, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was injured in a traffic crash in Mount Shasta Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol group.

The motorcycle crash was reported in the evening hours, June 7, on Highway 89 Friday, near Mc Cloud Chevron gas station.

The accident happened when a vehicle collided with the motorcycled rider on the roadway for unknown reasons. The initial report indicated that the motorcycle rider got up and continued driving home after the wreck.

The rider complained of pain on Saturday morning following the crash. The victim was taken to the hospital by the CHP for treatment. The name and the current condition of the patient remain unknown to this time.

It was not whether or not the driver of the involved car stopped after the collision.

The investigation is still ongoing.
