47-Year-Old Mother and 3-Year-Old Son Sustains Major Injuries in Vallejo Pit Bull Dog Attack on Locust Drive
Vallejo, California (April 5, 2019) – A 47-year-old mother and her 3-year-old son were seriously after they were mauled by a group of pit bull terriers in Vallejo Friday evening, according to police.
At around 5:30 p.m., the officers received a report of a woman and a child being attacked by three dogs in a backyard in the 500 block of Locust Drive.

The authorities used pepper spray and physical force to separate the pit bull terriers from the victims. The patients were then treated at the scene by responding paramedics before being transported to a trauma center for further treatment.
Police said Solano County Animal Control captured the dogs, which weighed 40 to 50 pounds.
Investigators determined that the dogs had been under the victims’ care when the incident occurred.
The accident remains under investigation.
