Moreno Valley, California (May 27, 2021) – A 17-year-old Winchester boy died following a traffic collision in Moreno Valley Wednesday afternoon, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The deadly two-vehicle collision was reported at approximately 3:09 p.m., May 26, near the intersection of Day Street and Bay Avenue.
The crash happened when a Toyota Corolla moving east on Bay Avenue approaching Day Street at high speeds failed to stop for a posted stop for unknown reasons.
The Corolla then hit a Ford Edge driver’s side, causing it to slam into a nearby residential fence.
Boy Killed in Moreno Valley Crash
The Ford driver, the 17-year-old Winchester boy, was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The Toyota operator was hospitalized with moderate injuries sustained in the collision.
