Driver Critically Injured in Moreno Valley Crash on Gilman Springs Road near Alessandro Boulevard
Moreno Valley, California (December 20, 2020) – A driver was critically injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle traffic crash in Moreno Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The major injury collision happened at around 2:40 a.m. on Gilman Springs Road, just south of Alessandro Boulevard.
Authorities said a silver Toyota Avalon was heading southbound on Gilman Springs Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control while attempting to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle then veered off the roadway and crashed into a concrete structure in a nearby field.

The driver was taken to nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition. His identity has not been disclosed.
Investigators said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
