Modesto Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Turlock Road in Merced County
42-Year-Old Modesto Man Killed in Merced County Head-On Crash on Turlock Road Sunday afternoon

Merced County, California (April 23, 2019) – A 42-year-old Modesto man was killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash in Merced County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The tragic accident happened at around 2:14 p.m. Sunday, April 21 on Turlock Road halfway between Snelling and Ballico.
According to the CHP, the 42-year-old Modesto man was riding a 2009 Harley-Davidson eastbound on Turlock Road when for as of yet to be determined reasons the rider allowed the motorcycle to drift into the westbound lane, where it collided head-on with a 2012 Volvo Semi driven by Adam Berryhill, 38, of Hilmar, which was heading westbound, east of Looney Road.

The Modesto man was declared deceased at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, Berryhill stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. Authorities determined Berryhill was not under the influence when the accident occurred.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
