Major Injuries Sustained in Modesto Crash on Highway 99 near Tuolumne Boulevard On-Ramp

Modesto, California (March 14, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred Sunday afternoon on Highway 99 in Modesto, resulting in major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The four-vehicle crash happened at about 3:56 p.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of Tuolumne Boulevard on-ramp.
The impact sent one of the vehicles off the roadway, ending up behind a mobile home park. The vehicle possibly caught fire in the accident.
A blue vehicle was facing the wrong way on the right-hand shoulder of northbound Highway 99.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victims.
The report said the crash resulted in major injuries but did not mention the number of patients.
CHP officers are investigating to establish what caused the crash.
