Woman Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Collision on Kerr Avenue and Yosemite Boulevard

Modesto, California (April 1, 2020) – A woman was on Tuesday afternoon killed in an auto-pedestrian collision that occurred in Modesto, according to the Modesto Police Department.
The fatal crash happened at Kerr Avenue and Yosemite Boulevard at around 2:45 p.m. March 31.
According to police, the woman was walking on Kerr Avenue when she attempted to cross Yosemite Boulevard and was struck by a GMC Yukon that tried to make a left turn onto Kerr Avenue.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Yukon stayed at the scene after the accident and reportedly cooperated with the investigators. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have played a role in the accident.
The Modesto Police Department is conducting an investigation into the crash.
