Modesto, CA: 2 Hospitalized after DUI Car Accident on Rumble Road
2 Injured in Modesto Collision on Rumble Road near Yukon Drive
Modesto, California (February 10, 2021) – 23-year-old Gerson Perez has been arrested following a traffic collision that injured two people Sunday night in Modesto.
Officials responded to the DUI crash shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Rumble Road at Virginia Corridor Trailway, west of Yukon Drive.
A 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer operated by Perez west on Rumble Road veered off the highway and crashed into a power pole.
Due to the impact, the Mitsubishi took out a crosswalk sign and a fence.
Modesto Car Accident on Rumble Road Injures 2
Perez and a passenger in the car sustained unspecified injuries. Both were attended to by medical personnel and then rushed to an area hospital for further medical aid.
Perez was later arrested by police and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail Monday morning on suspicion of DUI.
The February 7 accident remains under investigation.
