Two Injured, Moz Gill Arrested after Fresno DUI Crash on First Avenue near Shaw Street
Fresno, California (January 22, 2019) – A driver was arrested following suspected DUI hit-and-run accidents that sent two people to a hospital on Monday morning in northeast Fresno, according to the Fresno police.
The first crash happened at the intersection of First and Gettysburg Avenues at about 10:20 a.m. January 21, and the second occurred approximately 10 minutes later at the intersection of First Avenue and Shaw Avenues.
Police said the suspected drunk driver, identified as Moaz Gill, 35, was traveling northbound on First Avenue when he struck a moving car at the intersection of Gettysburg. Gill then continued traveling northbound and struck a traffic light pole and hit three more cars waiting at a light at the intersection of Shaw Avenue.
Two drivers were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
Gill was taken into custody on charges of Hit-and-run and DUI.
Fresno police are investigating the incident.
