Mission Viejo, CA: Child Hurt after Car and Big Rig Crash on Interstate 5 at Avery Parkway
Mission Viejo Accident on Interstate 5 at Avery Parkway Injures 1
Mission Viejo, California (June 24, 2021) – A child was hurt following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Mission Viejo, the California Highway Patrol said.
The hit-and-run collision took place on Interstate 5 (San Diego Freeway) near the Avery Parkway just before 1:55 p.m. on June 22.
The accident involved a big rig and a red sedan that crashed on the northbound lanes of the freeway for undetermined reasons.

A juvenile reportedly sustained a leg injury following the collision.
Meanwhile, one of the involved drivers did not stop to render aid and escaped the scene after the accident.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
