Woman Seriously Hurt in Mission Bay Bicycle Crash on West Mission Bay Drive near Dana Landing Road
Mission Bay, California (January 8, 2019) – A woman riding a bicycle sustained major injuries when she was struck by a driver who fled the scene after the incident on Monday night in Mission Bay.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident occurred just after 8 p.m. January 7 on West Mission Bay Drive near Dana Landing Road.
The SDPD said a woman in her 40s was trying to ride across the street from the north side to the south when an eastbound tan or gold-colored four-door sedan struck her.
The driver reportedly stopped for a moment before fleeing the scene.
Police said the victim was hospitalized with serious injuries and was expected to be ok.
The SDPD is searching for the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
