Juvenile Injured in Mira Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Westmore Road Thursday
Mira Mesa, California (October 11, 2019) – A teenager was struck and injured by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Mira Mesa, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported shortly after 4:45 p.m. Thursday, October 10 on Westmore Road, just off Camino Ruiz.
According to authorities, the male juvenile was hit by a vehicle on Westmore Road.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the injured pedestrian. The victim was then transported by paramedics to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. However, the patient underwent a CT scan due to the nature of his trauma.
No details were immediately disclosed about the driver involved.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
