Bicyclist Seriously Hurt in Mira Mesa Traffic Accident on Camino Ruiz near Carroll Canyon Road

Mira Mesa, California (November 5, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Mira Mesa on Monday evening, a local news source reported.
The major-injury crash was reported shortly before 6:40 p.m. November 4, in the 9700 block of Camino Ruiz near Carroll Canyon Road.
The accident involved a bicyclist and a vehicle of unspecified built. The manner in which the accident happened was not disclosed.

The bicyclist suffered severe injuries, including a compound fracture to the leg in the crash. The victim was attended to by emergency teams who arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck.

It was not mentioned whether or not the driver of the vehicle involved stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the investigation.
The crash resulted in the closure of northbound lanes of Camino Ruiz past the Carroll Canyon Road intersection to give way to the investigation.
