Chollas View, California (November 5, 2019) – A man and a woman sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Monday evening in Chollas View, San Diego.
The major-injury accident, which was reported at about 7:50 p.m. November 4, occurred in the area of 47th and Hartley streets just south of Market Street.
As per the report, a 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were crossing 47th Street at Hartley Street when a Cadillac struck them. The initial report indicated that the driver of the car failed to stop for the blinking yellow lights that flash when pedestrians are in the crosswalk.
Officials added that the injured parties were husband and wife and were walking with their teenage children when the collision took place.

The female party suffered life-threatening injuries, including a broken pelvis, while the man sustained a broken leg and other non-life-threatening injuries.
The two victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the identities and the current condition of the wounded parties have not yet been released to this time.
The involved driver stopped following the incident and cooperated with the investigation.
