Several Injured in Encinitas Crash on San Elijo Avenue near Coast Highway 101
Encinitas, California (March 20, 2019) – Several people were injured early Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Encinitas, authorities reported.
The wreck took place at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 on San Elijo Avenue near Coast Highway 101.
According to the authorities, a gray truck collided with a red Porsche for an unknown reason on San Elijo Avenue. The force of the impact sent the Porsche onto the train tracks.
Minor-Injury Crash on San Elijo Avenue in San Diego County
Authorities said the occupants of both vehicles were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. The exact number of patients and their conditions at this time remained unknown.
Train service was delayed for nearly two hours.
