Milton Pineda-Vaceres Injured in Fatal Carmel Collision on Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road
Carmel, California (May 16, 2021) – Milton Pineda-Vaceres of Northridge was hospitalized following a deadly crash that happened at Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road in Carmel on Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 9:30 p.m. May 14, CHP said a car heading east on Carmel Valley Road crashed near Rio Road for unknown reasons.
The two occupants of the vehicle were identified as Pineda-Vaceres and Stacey Paz of Northridge. The two stepped out of the car and as they were standing outside, a second vehicle slammed into their car.

The car was pushed forward and it struck the two people standing outside. Paz was pinned under the car and sadly died at the scene.
Pineda-Vaceres was taken to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be factors in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the collision.
