Wasco, California (October 26, 2019) – Miguel Ochoa Ruiz, 71, of Wasco was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Wasco, according to the authorities.

The incident took place in the 700 block of Seventh Street.

Police said Ruiz was walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle.

Ruiz was rushed to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced deceased.

No further details were released.

The crash is under investigation.

Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year.
