41-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Midway District Hit-and-Run Accident on Rosecrans Street near Lytton Street

Midway District, California (September 24, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night in the Midway District neighborhood of San Diego, according to police.
The major-injury pedestrian crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, on Rosecrans Street, just north of Lytton Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, was hit by a vehicle while attempting to walk across Rosecrans Street westbound outside of a marked crosswalk.

The pedestrian sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. His name and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The driver involved did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white sedan.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
