San Carlos Woman Michelle Gorman Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Crash at Boulder Lake Avenue and Navajo Road
San Diego, California (January 12, 2019) – A woman from San Carlos was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle last month at an intersection in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at Boulder Lake Avenue and Navajo Road on December 18.
According to the news source, Michelle Gorman was walking westbound in the crosswalk on Boulder Lake Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle that was attempting to turn left onto Navajo Road.
The impact threw Gorman onto the hood of the vehicle and then onto the ground.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Some witnesses and passersby rendered aid to Gorman while others called the authorities.
Gorman was hospitalized with six fractures in her back, and her appendix and part of intestines were removed. She continues to recover from the accident.
No further details were released on the crash.
Police are investigating the incident.
