Michael Sims Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Crash on Kenworthy Way and 24th Street
Sacramento, California (February 18, 2020) – A man died after being involved in an auto-pedestrian accident that occurred in the Meadowview neighborhood of Sacramento on Saturday night, according to a local news source.
The crash happened just after 9:15 p.m. February 15, in the area of Kenworthy Way and 24th Street.
According to the news source, police received a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the area. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Michael Sims Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Michael Jeffrey Sims, 38, of Sacramento.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said DUI and speed were not suspected to have played a role in the collision.
The crash is under investigation.
