Charles Guerrero Dies in Pittsburg Pedestrian Collision on Highway 4

Pittsburg, California (February 18, 2020) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Pittsburg has been identified as Charles Guerrero, 33, of Antioch, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.

The crash happened just after 1 a.m. February 16, on eastbound Highway 4 at the Loveridge Road off-ramp.

CHP said Guerrero was walking in the No 2 lane of the off-ramp when a 2013 Honda exiting the highway struck him.

Guerrero was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The driver of the Honda, a 36-year-old Livermore man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. CHP said the driver was not impaired.

The CHP is investigating the collision.
