Merced County, CA: Fatal Big Rig Accident on Interstate 5
At Least 2 Killed in Merced County Big Rig Crash on Interstate 5 near John Erreca Rest Area
Merced County, California (July 11, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon big rig accident that killed at least two people in Merced County, Fresno.
The deadly crash transpired shortly after 4:30 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near the John Erreca Rest Area.
A big rig collided with six other vehicles on the roadway. The manner at which the crash transpired is yet to be established, the police said.
As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles involved in the mishap reportedly overturned.

At least two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period.
