Matthew Norried ID’d as Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash on McKee Road near N. Capitol Avenue

San Jose, California (September 30, 2020) – Matthew Norried, 37, of Fresno, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday morning in San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at around 12:15 a.m., on September 27, McKee Road near N. Capitol Avenue.
Authorities said Norried was attempting to walk across the street outside of a designated crosswalk when a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado hit him.

Norried was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperative with the authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
