Chino Hills, California (June 24, 2021) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a crash involving a car on Saturday morning near a shopping center in Chino Hills has been identified as Chino Hills resident Martin Hernandez, 44, according to authorities.

The collision took place at about 10:28 a.m. at Chino Hills Parkway and Pipeline Avenue.

Authorities said Hernandez was riding his 2002 Harley Davidson west on Chino Hills Parkway when he crashed into a 2019 Nissan that made a left turn from a nearby shopping center.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other driver, an 81-year-old Chino Hills woman, remained at the scene after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
