Mark Edwards ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento County Crash on Highway 12 near Brannan Island Road
Sacramento County, California (July 28, 2020) – The motorcyclist who died in a traffic accident Friday afternoon in Sacramento County has been identified as Mark Edwards, 62, of Isleton.
The fatal crash happened at about 1:42 p.m. Friday, July 24, on Highway 12 near Brannan Island Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Edwards was riding his motorcycle westbound on Highway 12 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.
Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 12 in Sacramento County
Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the tractor-trailer driver was not immediately known.
Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have played a role in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
