Maria Palapa Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Interstate 15 in Baker
Maria Palapa ID’d as Victim in Fatal Baker Car Crash on Interstate 15 near Afton Canyon Road
Baker, California (February 23, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified the person who died following a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday morning south of Baker as Maria Guzman Palapa, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
At around 6:39 a.m. Monday, February 22, authorities received a report about the accident on Interstate 15, just south of Afton Canyon Road.
Authorities said a vehicle was traveling on Interstate 15 when, for unknown reasons, it crashed on the roadway and overturned.
Deadly Car Accident on Interstate 15 in Baker
Palapa, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
