Marcus Busby Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 in National City
Marcus Busby ID’d as Man Killed in National City Accident on Interstate 5 and Interstate 54
National City, California (November 10, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed Thursday afternoon in a traffic collision in National City as Marcus Allen Busby, 44, of National City.
The deadly two-car accident happened at around 3:17 p.m. Thursday, November 5, on Interstate 5 and Interstate 54.
Authorities said a sedan, driven by Busby, was transitioning from the northbound Interstate 5 to eastbound State Route 54 when it clipped another vehicle and crashed into the jersey barrier.
The sedan then went over the side of the bridge and rolled down an embankment below the transition ramp.
Busby was declared dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
