Marcos Murrieta Identified as 36-Year-Old Man Killed in El Cariso Motorcycle Crash on Ortega Highway

El Cariso, California (August 15, 2020) – The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified Marcos Murrieta, 36, of Menifee, as the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Friday evening in El Cariso.
At about 6:09 p.m., on August 14, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly motorcycle accident in the 32000 block on Ortega Highway.
The CHP said Murrieta lost control of his motorcycle and collided with an oncoming Toyota Prius on the highway.
As a result of the collision, Murrieta was reportedly thrown from his motorcycle and landed on a dirt shoulder.

Sadly, Murrieta was pronounced dead at the crash site.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
