Marcos Monzon ID’d as Man Killed in Santa Ana Pedestrian Crash at Fairview and Harvard Streets
Santa Ana, California (June 17, 2019) – The man who was killed in a traffic collision in Santa Ana late Tuesday night has been idenitfied as Marcos Monzon, 40, of Perris, according to the Orange County coroner.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Fairview and Harvard streets at about 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
Authorities said Monzon was going north on the west-side sidewalk when he was hit by a southbound vehicle for unknown reasons.

Monzon was found lying on the pavement near his bike and suffering from significant trauma following the crash. He was immediately rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and contacted the authorities.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year.
