Marcelo Sixto Arrested after Monterey Car Accident at Del Monte Street and Camino El Estero
Monterey, California (June 9, 2021) – Marcelo Munoz Sixto, 18, of Salinas was arrested following a hit-and-run crash that happened on Sunday evening in Monterey, according to police.
The incident happened in the area of Del Monte Street and Camino El Estero just before 7:30 p.m. June 6.
According to police, Sixto collided with two other vehicles in the area for unknown reasons.
People in the other two vehicles sustained minor injuries.
Sixto and his passenger, Fidencio Lopez-Daniel, 21, of Santa Rita, fled from the scene after the collision.

The two were located shortly after and arrested.
Sixto was arrested for charges including hit-and-run causing injury, DUI causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 percent, driving on a suspended license, and an outstanding San Luis Obispo County warrant.
Lopez-Daniel was also arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.
The incident is under investigation.
