Marc Rodriguez Arrested in Arizona Following Fatal Fresno at N Street and Stanislaus Street

Fresno, California (May 29, 2021) – Marc Cain Rodriguez, 31, has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a Clovis woman in Fresno earlier this month, according to the authorities.
The accident was as a result of a police chase that began at around 3:00 p.m. May 12, at the intersection of Calaveras Street and N Street.
A California Highway Patrol officer tried to pull over Rodriguez, who was a wanted gang member for weapons violation charges in the Chinatown area.
Rodriguez stopped momentarily, but when he saw the officers approaching, he sped off. When he was near the Fresno County District Attorney’s office, Rodriguez threw a loaded AR-15 out the window.
Shortly after, the black Ford Fusion Rodriguez was driving collided with a black BMW sedan driven by Hannah Pimentel, 19, of Clovis at N Street and Stanislaus Street.
Marc Rodriguez Arrested in Arizona After Fatal Fresno Crash at Calaveras and N Streets
Authorities said Pimentel, who was a student at Fresno City College, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rodriguez fled the area traveling north.
On Friday May 28, authorities said that Rodriguez had been arrested in Arizona. He was wanted on charges of murder and illegal possession of an assault rifle.
The investigation is ongoing.
