Modesto, California (May 28, 2021) – Ashley Stringer, 33 of Henderson, Nevada, has been identified as one of the two parties who were killed in a Thursday morning traffic accident that left one other person injured in Modesto, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.

The deadly multi-vehicle accident transpired at about 6:30 a.m., on May 27, on Highway 132, near Texas Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Malcolm Jones, 32, of Las Vegas, was driving an Acura westbound on the highway when he pulled into the eastbound lane to pass traffic ahead of him.

An eastbound big rig reportedly turned to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the Acura. Unfortunately, the Acura struck the rear axle of the semi-truck, causing it to spin within the eastbound lane, where a second big rig hit it.

As a result of the collision, Jones and Stringer, who were not wearing seat belts, were ejected onto the roadway.
