Redding, California (April 14, 2021) – A man died after being struck by a car in Redding on Tuesday morning, April 13.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Highway 273 near Caterpillar Road.

The Redding Police Department said a 2010 Toyota Prius was traveling southbound on North Market Street when it struck a man who was walking his bicycle across the roadway.

The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
