30-Year-Old Man Killed in Phelan Crash on Highway 138 near Wimmer Road

Phelan, California (January 11, 2021) – A 30-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that left two other people injured on Saturday afternoon in Phelan, authorities said.
The deadly four-vehicle accident happened at about 12:20 p.m., on January 9, on Highway 138, east of Wimmer Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2003 Honda was traveling eastbound on the highway at a high rate of speed when it lost control and crashed into a 2010 Lexus in the eastbound lanes.
The Honda then crossed into oncoming traffic, collided with a 2016 Ford, continued to travel in the westbound lanes, and struck a 2012 Jeep, the officials said.
As a result of the collision, a passenger in the Honda, the 30-year-old man, was reportedly ejected onto the roadway.
Man Killed in Highway 138 Crash
The 30-year-old man was injured in the accident and was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Honda was also taken to Arrowhead Regional with major injuries. The driver of the Ford, from Upland, was transported to Desert Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
