21-Year-Old Fresno Man Killed, 35-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Fresno Crash at Shaw Avenue and Del Mar Avenue
Fresno, California (January 1, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning traffic accident that killed a 21-year-old man from Fresno and left another injured in Fresno.
The accident happened at around 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Shaw Avenue and Del Mar Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang, driven by the 21-year-old man was headed eastbound on Shaw Avenue when it lost control, hit a curb, and became airborne.
Fatal Traffic Collision at Shaw Avenue and Del Mar Avenue
Sadly, the 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 35-year-old, was transported to CRMC with major injuries.
Both parties involved in the accident were not wearing a seatbelt. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
