Man Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on North Bunkerhill Drive ID’d as Larry Raven

Fresno, California (January 25, 2020) – 80-Year-Old Larry Raven of Fresno has been identified as the male victim killed in a pedestrian accident earlier this month in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal pedestrian crash happened on North Bunkerhill Drive near East Ticonderoga Drive just before 2:00 p.m. January 6.

The accident involved a Chevrolet that was stopping in the northbound lane of Bunkerhill and 42-year-old Vernardo Orgeta, who was backing a Ford F-250 from a private driveway.

The initial report indicated that the Ford F-250 hit the left side of a Chevrolet for undisclosed reasons.

Larry Raven Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Fresno 

The Ford then hit Raven upon the impact. Raven died at Community Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted after the accident.

Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol will refer charges of misdemeanor manslaughter to the Fresno County District Attorney. The Fresno County District Attorney’s office will decide if charges would be filed, authorities said.

The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
