22-Year-Old Man Killed in Los Angeles Car Accident on Venice Boulevard On-Ramp To San Diego (405) Freeway

Los Angeles, California (August 25, 2020) – A driver was killed Monday morning in a traffic accident in West Los Angeles, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at around 4:52 a.m. Monday, August 24 at the Venice Boulevard on-ramp to the San Diego (405) Freeway.
According to the CHP, a 22-year-old Los Angeles man was driving a 2008 Audi A4 at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve of the off-ramp and crashed down an embankment.
Deadly Crash on Venice Boulevard On-Ramp in Los Angeles
The driver of the Audi was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of the family.
A 20-year-old Los Angeles woman, who was riding as a passenger in the Audi, was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. His current condition was unknown.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the onramp as crews worked to clear the crash. As of 11:00 a.m., the ramp was reopened to traffic.
The accident remains under investigation.
