Man Killed, One Injured in Los Angeles Crash on Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Bundy Drive
Los Angeles, California (June 21, 2021) – A man was killed and one other person was injured early Saturday morning in a fiery traffic crash in West Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at around 2:55 a.m. Saturday, June 19 on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Bundy Drive.
CHP said a 21-year-old Los Angeles man was driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer eastbound in westbound lanes of Santa Monica (10) Freeway when the Lancer collided with a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The Lancer caught fire with the driver inside. CHP said bystanders were unable to rescue the man from the burning car. Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene.

The 37-year-old driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries but declined hospitalization.
The crash prompted the officers to temporarily close all westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
