Pacific Beach, California (July 17, 2021) – A man was injured in an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred in Pacific Beach on Friday, according to the San Diego police.

The accident happened on Grand Avenue near Jewel Street on Friday, July 16.

Police said a 65-year-old man was walking an electric bike across the street when he was struck by a Hyundai Motors.

The victim was taken to a hospital with major injuries and was expected to survive.

The driver, identified as a 26-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
