1 Injured in Car Accident on Golden State Boulevard near Griffith Avenue in Merced
Merced, California (July 18, 2021) – A 3-year-old child was injured in a car crash in Merced on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Golden State Boulevard near Griffith Avenue at about 8:39 p.m. July 17.
At least two vehicles were involved in the crash. While the events leading up to the collision were yet to be established, the impact of the collision reportedly sent one vehicle off the roadway and into a field.
The officers who arrived at the scene found a 3-year-old child unconscious and unresponsive inside one of the cars.
The child was transported to the hospital for treatment in unknown condition.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
