53-Year-Old Man Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Jensen Avenue

Fresno, California (December 29, 2020) – A 53-year-old man was hit and killed by vehicles on Monday morning in Fresno, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired shortly after 4:30 a.m., on December 28, on Highway 99, just north of Jensen Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 53-year-old male pedestrian was walking in the number four lane when an oncoming vehicle struck them.
The crash impact reportedly pushed the pedestrian into the number three lane, where he was hit by at least one other vehicle.

Sadly, the male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The first driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The highway’s southbound lane and the Jensen Avenue off-ramp were closed for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
