Spring Valley, California (October 2, 2020) – Authorities have released the identity of a transient woman who was killed in a single-vehicle crash late last month in Spring Valley.

Luzviminda Marzan, 52, died in the traffic accident that happened at around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, in the 8000 block of Paradise Valley Road.

According to the authorities, Marzan’s boyfriend was driving westbound on Paradise Valley Road when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his vehicle and drifted off the roadway.

The vehicle then crashed through a chain-link fence and into an embankment.

Deadly Crash on Paradise Valley Road in Spring Valley

Marzan, who was riding as a passenger in the vehicle’s back seat, was ejected through the windshield.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and performed CPR on Marzan. Despite life-saving measures, Marzan did not survive her injuries and was declared dead at the scene at 7:17 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
