At Least 1 Injured in Lucerne Valley Crash at Barstow Road and Rabbit Springs Road
Lucerne Valley, California (May 19, 2021) – At least one person was injured Wednesday morning in a head-on crash at an intersection in Lucerne Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck, involving two vehicles, occurred at around 10:16 a.m. at the intersection of Barstow Road and Rabbit Springs Road. Barstow Road is also known as Highway 247, the CHP reported.
According to the CHP, one vehicle drifted into the path of another vehicle for unknown reasons. Both vehicles ultimately collided head-on.
One of the involved vehicles was described as a truck. The two vehicles sustained major front-end damage following the crash.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least one person who was injured in the crash. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
No other details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
